Hello.

Sometimes I would like to be able to define the country where my exits node is located.

So i opened the Vidalia Control Panel -> VidaliaShortcut -> View the Network -> Connection and deleted all circuits.... and selecting an other relay. but i am unable to define an exit node in a special country. What am i doing wrong?

Thank you for any help.

Bill

PS I could imaging that this approach could compromize my security..

Hello "Bill"

You could use:

ExitNodes {iq}

Adapted for whatever country you wish to exit in. Perhaps you might like to read the manual?

Yup

Thanks for the help!

The following URL shows a picture of Vidalia with the possibility/feature to Setup Relaying https://www.torproject.org/projects/vidalia.html.en

Does the current version of TAILS use an old version of Vidalia?

This usecase is not supported in Tails (e.g. the firewall would block incoming connections anyway), so we disable this part of the UI in the Vidalia shipped in Tails for the sake of consistency.
