Question on chat: Why Is Tails using startpage if In August 2010 DuckDuckGo introduced anonymous searching, including an exit enclave, for its search engine traffic using Tor ?? Wouldn't it be better to use DuckDuckgo ?
Can anyone give a response why startpage instead of Duckduckgo ?
Have a look at https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/ticket/4902 for the discussion that happened for the Tor Browser Bundle. DuckDuckGo is interesting, but the search results quality is not on par with the one given by Startpage.
