Tails - Running bitcoin in tails?

Anyone have any experience in getting bitcoin to run in tails from the persistent volume?

I've got the full bitcoin client in persistent volume but it hasn't managed to get up &running, when i click on Bitcoin-qt it says 'opening bitcoin' but then nothing happens.

Anyone point me in the right direction?

Bitcoin-QT isn't supported by Debian Squeeze or vice-versa and it's a shame. I tried out MultiBit but it doesn't support a proxy like the native client does.

Multibit is actively working on a SOCKS proxy: https://github.com/jim618/multibit/issues/35

Running bitcoin-qt in tails perfeclty with tor. I have the entire blockchain in the persistent volume, and the qt client runs from the persistent volume as well. I simply have to do a ln -s /path/to/.bitcoin/ .bitcoin (in /home/amnesia ) to ensure that the qt client loads my regular wallet, instead of creating a new one (and trying to redownload the entire blockchain (not fun) ..
