Is there a way to get Tails to run entirely in a computer's RAM? The operating system is under 700 MB, so size is not an issue. I was thinking of this because of the long loading times when using Tails on a CD. If Tails were to transfer the entire content of the CD to RAM upon startup, that would solve the problem of the long (and loud) time it takes to read data from the disk. Is there already a way to do this (e.g. using a command, changing a setting, etc.) or is this a new feature that would have to be implemented in a future update?

Try adding the toram parameter to the kernel command-line: at the language boot menu, press TAB, then space, then the suggested argument, then ENTER.

@1: Other posts from "Tails" have stated that toram is not supported.

Shouldn't you mention that?

You just did.

It's all already stated in the documentation and numerous times in the forum. Why would you have the developers waste their time re-typing what they've already explained? Just to save some kid the bovva of looking at the documentation?

You do, of course, understand that anyone who seriously needs Tails will have thought to at the very least READ THE DOCUMENTATION? Anyone else is just a timewaster.
