If I use Tails in VirtualBox, what is the optimal RAM size I should use? Currently it's set at 512 MB. Also, how much video memory should I give it? I set it to 64 MB.

We recommend 1GB RAM. 784MB should work fine for most usages, though.
Video memory does not matter much, you should be fine with 16 or 32MB. Just do the maths (bits per pixel x number of pixels).
