Hi all,
I installed Tails on a USB drive. However, I would also like to create a TrueCrypt volume on this USB drive to store important documents and such. I figure I can create this on a persistent volume in the free space on the USB stick, but I would like this TrueCrypt volume also accessible from outside Tails (to cover the possibility that I am unable to boot Tails off the USB drive in some environments). Is there any way to do this? Could I also install some Portable apps in the free space (that I could access from Windows?)
Am kinda new to all this, so apologies if this is a noob question. But any pointers or suggestion would greatly help.
Thanks

TrueCrypt volumes are cross-platformm by definition, but in my experience (Windows XP), Windows only sees the first partition on USB devices, even if there are more. So, probably, it won't work.
Your best option is to use a dedicated USB drive for the TrueCrypt volume. As a positive side effect, you will not need to plug your Tails stick into a running Windows system, which may be infected by malware.
