Any special precautions when downloading files using Tails? In TBB I get a warning saying my browsers needs third party software blah blah blah.

Should I use torify wget whenever downloading new ISOs?

In the past, it was asked in this forum whether or not `wget is safe to use for downloading files in TAILS.

Safe against what?

If it would be unsafe within Tails threat model, it would be a bug to have it included in Tails.

It's a fairly straighforward question: should one use torified wget over Ice Weasel's browser download manager? It's a yes/no question.

Is torified wget necessary for anonymity?

wget in TAILS is torified-- but so is the native system of downloading within Iceweasel. So I don't know if one is any safer than the other.

wget in a regular distro is NOT torified and hence would be no more anonymous than any other non-torified, non-proxied download method.
