4GB? 8GB? Will it all be wiped? And is Tails running on a 64-bit Debian? That's the only way it could wipe that much memory, isn't it?

The current implementation should basically wipe any amount of memory you throw at it (tested with 8GB) on PAE systems, and leave a few MB untouched on rare systems (non-PAE with big amounts of memory).
