include bitcoin

We’ve been asked to include Bitcoin.
Quoting the Debian package description: "Full transaction history is stored locally at each client. This requires 150+ MB of space, slowly growing", so persistence is needed.
The only missing bit, then, is remembering to install a Bitcoin client that was cached in the persistence storage. The correct way to deal with such feature requests probably is to implement remember installed packages.
So, we will not include Bitcoin software in Tails.
Only missing bit? The conclusion misses reasoning.
There are alternative thin btc clients only 1 or 5 MB in size. They do not require downloading the blockchain.
I’m happy if Tails allows you to install such a client.
Electrum looks good.

Please reconsider.

Closed again. You did not provide any new and significant piece of information that allows you to override the decision we’ve made, or bring the need to reconsider it (sorry, but mentioning software that is not in Debian is not relevant enough, to my eyes, to reconsider this decision — see faq.
If you want to discuss this any further, please bring new and relevant input on the tails-dev mailing-list: this ticket is no good discussion place.

By the way, conducting this research yourself is much more likely to have interesting results that telling people, who decided they would not spend their time on something, that they really should..
